Safety First!
Every flight by the Edambuster's requires thorough preparation and cooperation by the entire team. Before the aircraft are towed out of the hangar we have a briefing in Willem's "Paradise" Hangar. We begin by synchronizing our watches to the same time. Then we go through the "Standard Operational Procedures" checklist. It looks very regimented, and it is. To perform safe formation flights, close observation of these rules is a must. After the briefing we perform preflight checks of the aircraft to assure top condition of the planes. For this purpose, we also use a specific checklist.
